Artwork > Twined ᏗᏔᎷᏣ-baskets

In 2022 I took a class with Dr. Lara Evans (Cherokee) on Native American Art History through the Institute of American Indian Art. During her class I got introduced to twined baskets in a section where we were introduced to this technique by artist and cultural keeper Leanne Campbell [Schi’tsu’umsh, (Coeur d’Alene Tribe of Indians), NiMíiPuu, (Nez Perce Tribe), Sinixt, (Arrow Lakes) and P’squosa (Wenatchee) - Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation)]. I am deeply to both for their work, leadership, and guidance. From that class onwards I continue making them also incorporating influences from my Cherokee twined basket traditions.
